What London Homeowners Say

★★★★★ 4.9 · 212 reviews on G o o g l e

Real reviews from homeowners across London — unedited, verified on Google.

“SAM provided the scaffolding for repointing and decorating work on our large Victorian house. They worked quickly and carefully, really nice guys, no swearing, shouting and partying like some. They removed the scaffolding promptly after the job was finished and tidied up.”

Simon Hollins

Richard Gordon

“We have now used them 3 times at our home for full scaffolding. They are diligent and professional - always on time, always very careful and leave your home clean and tidy afterwards.”

The Silent Service

Our crews arrive uniformed, work quietly, and leave without a trace. No radios blaring, no shouting across the street — just professional tradespeople who treat your property with the same care as their own home.

Property Protection

Boards go down before anything goes up. Driveways, planting, window frames, and rendered surfaces are protected as standard — not as an afterthought. Any contractor damage is our problem, not yours.

Programme Certainty

We arrive on the agreed date and erect exactly what was quoted. Your builders stay on schedule. No last-minute rescheduling, no part-deliveries, no delays caused by your scaffold contractor.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know.

Do you need planning permission or council approval for scaffolding?

In most cases, no. Standard domestic scaffolding erected on private property does not require planning permission. If the scaffold needs to overhang a public pavement or road, a local authority licence is required — we handle all permit applications on your behalf as part of the job.

Will the scaffolding damage my driveway, garden, or render?

We protect all surfaces before any pole or base plate touches your property. Scaffold boards are laid across driveways, planting is moved or boarded over, and rubber base plates are used on delicate surfaces. Any accidental damage is covered under our guarantee and repaired at our cost.

How long can the scaffolding stay up?

As long as your project needs it. There is no standard maximum hire period — we agree a duration upfront and re-inspect the structure weekly. If your builders overrun, simply call us and we extend the hire. Conversely, if works finish early we can dismantle promptly to free your access.

How quickly can you erect the scaffold?

For most residential jobs we can mobilise within 24–48 hours of survey sign-off. We carry out a free site survey first so there are no surprises on the day — correct materials, correct crew size, correct time on site.

Are your operatives insured and properly trained?

Yes. Every operative on site holds a current CISRS card, and the company holds full NASC accreditation — the gold standard for scaffold contractors in the UK. All works are covered by £10m public liability insurance. We can provide certificates on request before works begin.

What if my project overruns and I need the scaffold longer than planned?

Call us as soon as you know. We will extend the hire on a weekly or monthly basis at a pre-agreed rate — there are no penalty charges for legitimate overruns. We would rather you keep the scaffold up safely than rush a take-down because the calendar says so.
